Bansavalinama written in 1769 CE by Kesar Singh Chibber also mentions the celebrating of Dusshera. On the days of Dusshera, worship your weapons. From your mouths you should recite the ballads of Chandi [Chandi Chritars and Chandi Di Vaar]. [Worship your weapons by using] lots of Incense, Gee-lamps, flowers and nice fragrances. [use] Saffron, Sandalwood and a Wisk to wave [above your weapons]. - Bansavalinama pg. 161 ਬੰਸਾਵਲੀਨਾਮਾ ਪਨਾ ੧੬੧

I'm a keshdhari sikh male in my mid twenties. I have a pretty serious psychological problem. My turban and beard severely upset my mental state. I want to keep my hair but I am wandering if it would be better to go clean shaven. I am not always like this but when I have a turban on, I feel like women despise me. They give me dirty looks thinking they are better than me, especially these indian women. Its not just a woman thing though. I feel like people are hating on me because of my turban. It makes me so paranoid. I can easily pick up a fight with someone when I get paranoid about my turban as it brings out a rage I cannot control. I was looking at this man …

Seeing Sikhs adopt much of the viewpoints of either right wing or liberals. And as incels are growing as well as theories of hypergamy, MGTOW. I was wondering what the views are of fellow Sikhs on these issues. And if you are married, did your view on the opposite gender change?

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I found an article on another forum about a Sikh who embraced Islam. So i decided to write a topic about this issue so that the sangat can understand why they converted. Based on my own personal experiences too so that the sangat can get there head around this issue. So why do most of the Sikhs who have embraced other religions, what were there reasons?: MISUNDERSTANDING SIKHI. For starters few either got misguided that the Guru Nanak was a muslim because he performed the hajj and try to say that Sikhism is a sect of Islam. ANSWER: Guru Nanak when he was asked by a muslim what are you hindu or muslim his answer was neithe…

I'm here because I now feel that either the teachings, teachers, interpretations or the followers of Sikhism themselves are in the wrong or being guided with malacious intent. My use of word malicious is intentional because I have started to feel the maliciouness. My childhood Sikh friends have closed "Only Sikh" chat groups where they share Hindu jokes about coward Hindus, impotent Hindus, Hindu whores etc. I got to know as a misdirected forwards got sent to our common group. I've stopped going to gurudwaras because I hear and feel a common theme of country of Hindus, government of Hindus, cow-urine-drinking-rat-monkey idolising Hindus, coward Hindus and Lion Sikhs etc. …

I've noticed virtually every sikh woman who foolishly dated and married someone outside their faith have had their marriages end in divorce. Most of these women tend to have married white atheist/Christian men and it always ends very badly very bitter divorces. There was this one punjaban i got to know called [ModCut- NAMES ARE NOT ALLOWED] she married her white boyfriend and divorced 2 years later after she caught him cheating and now shes letting herself being used and abused by guys in clubs and one night stands in online dating sites. Another punjabi girl i knew who was from south england kent she dressed up like a goth and was into the satanic dark heavy metal scene…

Kaam (lust) is one of the 5 vices. Our aim is to overcome these 5 vices to emerge with Waheguru (God) after death. However to get married and have kids we need Kaam, so i am confused on this part. Yes we can Jap Naam (meditate) as a family man as well, but without Kaam how can we have kids. Post you're views.

I dont want to hurt my Family. I was married to an man, but i dont love him. I am in love with someone else. But I dont want to hurt my family by telling them that I want to divorce. Thats why I thought i want to go to Darbar Sahib and stay there for a while. I will tell my Family that i am going to another country for a job. Is this correct? Is it ppossible to stay at Darbar Sahibb?

Satsriakal everyone I am a sikh boy,20 years old and I am a proud gursikh who has lately had an urge to trim my beard. I have been doing a lot of research on this but have not come across a reasonable argument. Why is it that me making a personal life decision of trimming my beard might move me away from my sikhi in the eyes of others. The reason why I would want to trim my beard is because I would feel more comfortable and neat. I proudly wear a turban and will always carry on wearing it with pride and honour. Some of the reasons which I came across were that our Gurus kept their honour and many sikh men have given their lives to protect this honour. I completely agree…
