  1. Vaheguru is forever forgiving. To prevent pitfalls in the future you have to make a lifestyle change and try to start going to Gurdwara and finding sangat. A good way to do this is to attend kirtan programs, Sikh camps and general events related to Sikhi or volunteer events. Please listen to this beautiful kirtan: Here's a channel about Sikhi: http://www.youtube.com/user/basicsofsikhi Start reciting path and nitnem as much as you can and try not to think about the negative habits we have and focus on the positive. Mistakes happen and so long as we get up from those mistakes and don't guilt trip ourselves we can improve. The aim is to Enlighten our minds and tune into Vaheguru and to do this we have to understand why the negatives are bad, not just label them as pure sin. Understand that focusing on living a GurSikh life will grant us mukti from this life and we will get pure anand and bliss. Guru Sahib has given everything to us. With this said, I am still on the path and trying my hardest everyday. This is lifetime commitment and you won't become perfect, the only thing you can do everyday is become a Khalsa and earnestly fight against the panj chore (Kaam Krodh Lobh Moh Ahankaar). Good luck, there is a saying," If you take one step to Guru Sahib, Guru Sahib takes 1000 steps to you." Ultimately after that it's on us to grab hold of Guru Sahib.

  3. Woolwich (and Plumstead) as you know, has always been a Sikh neighbourhood in terms of ethnic minorities since the 1970's, particularly when large numbers of east African Sikhs moved there. Seems like we would bear the brunt of any racial backlash there if it comes. I have a couple of thoughts though: 1) "we won't let the terrorists change our way of life", the politicians say with their mouths whilst simultanously drawing up rules and regulations with their hands in response, which completely change our way of life. The terrorists then, win every time. 2) Major Islamic terrorist attack after attack and militant behaviour such as the east london vigilante you tube videos, Richard Reid the shoe bomber etc show that a very large proportion is the work of black converts to Islam.......and white English converts. Yet our intelligence agencies are none the wiser......busy following brown people. The terrorists then, are always one step ahead. 3) The terrorist himself, on the ITV news clip, actually makes a valid point. He says our govt are is taking all of us for a ride. He says now that the battle will be waged on the streets of London rather than baghdad it will not be the politicians or their children who are the victims because after they make the policies they hide away in secluded communities. He said the victims will be the ordinary man and woman on the street and their children.

  4. Things are going to kick off. Race wars. Honestly, brown people are going to targetted now by thick racists like the EDL or other dumb thugs, even though people have seen it's a black fella who did the act (not that black people should be targetted but you know what I mean). Protect yourself and others from harm if the worst comes to the worst.

  5. My gurbani knowledge isn't deep enough to answer quoting maharaj ji but I hope someone who's is does explain why this ruling is correct. in very general terms living in grisht AND as a gurmukh means (to me anyway) living the life of a responsible householder, controlling our primal instincts (five vices) and contemplating on the shabd guru until we self-realise.. god has not designed our bodies for homosexuality, god has designed our bodies to do amongst other things procreate - whether it is black or white in bani is not therefore important to me as it is black and white in gods design for us.. what we desire/don't desire can be called natural if u like - for me desires are challenges that we must overcome if we are tread that ever so fine tight rope that leads us back to our origin in my opinion homosexuality is the same as cutting kesh (does bani say cutting kesh is wrong?), not evil - but a waste of time and accepting it as 'natural' will only waste this precious life/opportunity. hope Sarbat get their clarification and do not go against ATS sundesh (remember the countless stories of the great gursikhs that have disagreed with ATS hukams but not defied them) bhul chuk maaf karne - not my intention to offend anybody

  8. This attempt to change the meaning of marriage comes from people who are uneducated as to the benefits of marriage and it's necessity for the survival of the human race. Quite hypocritical really, seeing as none of us would be here today enjoying Vaheguru's wonderful creation if it was not for marriage. So, to attack and undermine it is uneducated, pathetic and a phobia in itself.

  11. Satanic verses by Salman Rushdie The dummy's guide to Sikhism....... :excited: Seriously,.... below from Dilgeer's website.... Anti-Sikh Writers and Propagandists:- Bute Shah, Earnest Trump, Shardha Ram Phillauri, W. H. McLeod (New Zealand) [known to be the ring-leader of the Anti-Sikhism School], J. S. Grewal, Sujit Hans, Harjot Oberoi, Pishaura Sinh, Jasbir S. Ahluwalia, Amrita Imroz (formerly Amrita Pritam), Gurinder Maan, Ian Mulgrew (Canada), Rudy Thomsen (Denmark) etc. These propagandists have been collaborated by Khushwant Singh, Patwant Singh, Piara S. Bhogal, Jaswant S. Kanwal, Mohinder Singh (Delhi), S.S.Dhanoa, I. J. Singh (New York) etc. In fact, with the exception of Dr. Noel Q. King, most of the non-Sikh writers, while writing about the Sikhs, have collaborated with the "Anti-Sikhism School" in one or another manner. There is another conspiracy of propaganda against the Sikh religion: in the name of Sikh studies, chairs have been established in the universities at Toronto, Vancouver, Michigen, New York, California etc.and the associates of Anti-Sikhism School have been appointed there apparently with the intention of production and promotion of blasphemous and malicious writings against Sikhism. There seems to be an international anti-Sikhism movement. Some famous publication houses including Oxford University Press, the Penguins and Cambridge University Press seem to be ever ready to publish each and every book produced by "Anti-Sikhism School", in spite of the fact that those works have no commercial or academic value.

  12. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa !!Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh !! Waheguru Ji - a sort sakhi One day Guru Gobind Singh Ji maharaj asked for his horse which was duly brought from the stables. The Sikhs gathered around as Guru Ji checked the horse. Guru Ji grabbed the reigns of the hose ready to mount. Guru Ji said "Can any Sikh recite Guru Granth Sahib Ji before I sit on the horse?" The Sikhs looked around in puzzlement, how can you recite the whole of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in the time it takes to get up and sit on a horse. Guru Ji put his charan on the stirrup and was ready to mount the horse "Can anyone recite Guru Granth Sahib Ji before I get up and sit on Neela?" One Sikh stepped forward, with folded hands he said "Sahib Ji with your grace I will try" As Guru Ji mounted the horse the Sikh said "Ek-oan-kaar" and Guru Ji sat on the horse. Sahib Ji was very pleased and blessed the Singh. "You have understood the essence of Guru Granth Sahib Ji," the whole of the granth is an expansion of this fundemental Sikh concept. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa !!Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh !!

  13. I'm wondering after the baba jee pillars and elderly leaders of the Sikh community of the present time pass on....... have we got up and coming charismatic youth leaders to take their place? Or will be Sikh masses be left to their own devices and no longer an effective force against those who wish our community ill will. I can see within 5-10 years when the leaders who lived in the times of 1984 and put all their energy fighting for Sikh rights and khalistan pass on there will be no one influential will left to fight for the rights of the community.

  15. At the end of the day i see the hand of govt in grooming or paying off a nutty mullah to radicalise these type of muslims. And we all know this cant be describe a terrorist attack only morons would describe it as such. When the western government agents / politicians like david cameron and therasa may say this is a terrorist attack you definitely know they do have a hand in it higher up in the chain of command in order to bring about their plans (bring in dictatorial oppressive police state powers).... or maybe its to hide the euro crisis? maybe its to hide gay marriage opposition? maybe its to hide another story they trying to cover up?

  20. what do you mean by "all three" OP Ji ? Daily "Ideal prayers" are actually 7 not 3, ardas to be followed (you don't have to read it from Gutka sahib, whatever you have on mind would do the magic)..... Morning: Japuji Sahib Jaap Sahib Twa Prasad Swaiye Chaupai Sahib Anand Sahib (full) and finish with ardas Evening: Rahras Sahib (including chaupai sahib and 5 paurhis of Anand Sahib) and finish with ardas Night: Kirtan Sohila and finish with ardas This is just FYI Coming back to your issue... You can listen to the morning paths any time during day based on your situations, Rehras sahib evening and Kirtan Sohila before going to bed. For Kirtan Sohila what you can do is......print off the Kirtan sohila path and paste or hang it on the wall and before going to sleep read it......after doing this for a while regularly, you'll memorize it and then you can do it while you r in bed ready to sleep...... regarding meat, you won't quit meat if anyone asks you to.....but now that doesn't mean you shouldn't start doing path until you quit it.....it's hardly possible unless Guru Ji shower HIS blessings..........so if for some reason you can't do it......listen to it at home, in car, at work etc...... Hope this helps

  21. I know I just pmd, but I want everyone to see this. First, this entire system is fake and it admits. Google accept 4 value, money is a promise to pay, and you paid with another promise to pay. No lawful currency in circulation. Therefore, goodwill and time are your biggest assests. B.A.R stands for british accreditation registry and you are only ever told half the story in school, it's like assuming the house is the entire world. You learn everything about it, but an illiterate man may be the one who sees the window and walks outside. Depending on belifs (degree of enslavement) one may not or may not want to believe the house is not the entire world. The house also represents jurisdiction, (will post later) Lawyer's take forever, for two main reasons: 1. Due process does take a long time (you don't have to take as much) 2. Money Good or bad, the fact is if someone doesn't know how to step outside jurisdiction you're looking at dozens of court dates, leading up to a trial where conviction is usually likely (maybe not specifically here, especially as jury will be involved but we always think 2 steps ahead, and further than one case). I would encourage people, to learn these things, and be their own 'lawyers' as well as for those who do not/have trouble learning these things especially because of the english. With many learning this, you will see it spread to India and beyond where the rajoanas, and bhullars of the future will not be convicted. That is my dream, until the quom regroups we need to relieve the singhs who are fighting and being falsely charged. VJKVJF| Google common law commerical lien process everyone, and hunt those who have wronged you. It's very early I hope my post is not in-coherent when I have time, I'll start a new thread, refer to this and answer any and all questions and provide sources, and extra reading to make more people who are armed with this. Saint-Soldier, able to conquer the spirtual and physical world; today's world, also needs to conquer court, and battlefield. One archetype is personal, the second public. Raaj Karega Khalsa Aaki Rehe Na Koi| VJKVJF|| edit - As a funny example, this means all those bans on organizations are not really valid. The main reason to learn this, is because different 'governments' attempt to take away our safe havens or bases to regroup. We havn't had those before, and we will not lose them. Vaheguru

  24. I think its really important that everyone makes a strong effort to attend! I always hear people moaning about attending but at the end of the day it puts diplomatic pressure on India and makes things uncomfortable for them! Its better than sitting at home watching TV all day or not doing anything... This rally is the right opportunity for all Sikhs, non-sikhs Jathay and organisations etc to come together and voice their anger at Indian Govt... no point sitting at home or saying its pointless when we know for a fact Indian Govt cant stomach this rally! They all mention it from KPS Gill to General Brar so people please attend... you might find it pointless but its making heads turn and as numbers increase the media exposure will increase...What we need is the number of people attending to increase every year!!! Attend and have yourself counted!!!! This is especially an important year for the sake of Professor Bhullar who could be hanged at any time!!!

  29. Some clarifications: 1. The Panth of Guru Nanak Dev and Guru Gobind Singh is the same. 2. Guru Gobind Singh had Nanak Jot too, so you can't pick and choose because all following 9 Gurus elaborated on the main teachings of Guru Nanak. 3. Guru Nanak Dev kept Kes which is evident from the Janamsakhis. Guru Nanak Sahib were also Shasterdhari, so you see that the teachings of Dasam Pita are no different to those of Guru Nanak. In fact it is said that Guru Hargobind Sahib learnt Shaster Vidya from Baba Buddha Ji, who himself learnt it from Guru Nanak Sahib.

Instead I would make him undertsand/teach him with love. and main thing.....just to get attention, Kids do bad things...and if you just ignore them...they donot do it. same goes to all those ppl like darshan rogi(who just for the sake of getting attention, Doing nindiya of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib ji); We just need to ignore them and pay no attention; ultimately they would relize their mistakes
