Even kids know how to act in the gurdwara than these people. I don't have no words to describe them. All they know white slave mentality, wait these so called tough ladies and so called self righteous

Wow you've lived a long time and my my what a long memory you've got...hahaha As long as man has existed,so his ego has caused him to attempt leadership of his equal man. After Baba Bahadur Singhs K

VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

"We wouldn't be having these issues before the SGPC was formed"

Sure we did - they were called Mahants and were under colonial British government control. Hindu rituals incorporated into Gurdwaras, ancestral claim to Gurdwaras as personal property, and many other unsavory things. Unfortunately, the Gurdwara Act 1925 still maintained government oversight over Gurdwaras and transitioned from British corruption to Indian government corruption and interference.

"http://etheses.bham.ac.uk/3990/1/Riat13PhD.pdf" - pg. 122. I liked this. Read parts of it and it captured the problems of the post Raj period with Gurdwaras.

This is the main problem, governments should have no oversight over Sikh religious institutions. This is how Badal controls who is elected into SGPC , I.e: ensures they are his puppets.

Likewise Badal himself is a puppet of the Delhi abscission administration. At the time the Gurdwaras act was created the British controlled SGPC, when they left the Nehru/Gandhi brahministic stooges took control.

This along with the election system ingredients introduced by SGPC ultimately handed Sikh religious institutions into the hands of the governments...

You know what, ultimately these things going on in Gurdwaras are really only a reflection of wider Sikh society and cultural norms. We're never going to stop them occurring until Sikh society itself changes. What goes on in Gurdwaras are only really concentrated, focused examples of Panjabi cultural norms that we see in microcosms throughout our society.

Until we start combating them, I can't see how the above type crap will not take place myself.

How long will Sikhs put up with this disgrace and humiliation upon our religion

http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2016/01/10/brawl-at-turlock-sikh-temple-reportedly-sparked-by-leadership-dispute/

This is disgusting, there's no need to take out kirpans, especially in a Gurdwara. Looks like the krodh chor took over some people.

All the problems are due to committees, when they go, no fights will occur. May as well get the kids to run the Gurdwaras, the rate they're going at. ?

Many of the issues that existed during the early part of the 20th century exist again.

General Dyer was given a siropa by the Akal Takhat Jathedar. Just as today this <banned word filter activated> Gurbachan is a government chamcha. What has changed?

Gurdwara's were run by <banned word filter activated> mahants whose only interest was collecting personal wealth. Today that dog Makkar and his SGPC buddies like Harcharan RSS and others are stealing money from golaks to build personal wealth.

Hindus were running our Gurdwaras. Today hindus who disguise themselves as sardars (Dog Badal and his <banned word filter activated> son Sukhbir) run everything.

The real question is when will the panth wake up? Dhan Shaheed Bhai Lachhman Singh Dharowali and the other brave Singhs that sacrificed their lives to free Gurdwaras from these bastards. We need more Bhai Lachhman Singhs today.

is it me or it look like a bunch of monay on one side and amritdhari's on the other... who are the two groups? is the former sponsored by indian gov?

I don't know the inner workings of this particular gurdwara but I doubt the government has anything to with this.

This appears (again I'm just guessing) to likely be an issue of something stupid like chairs in the langar hall or maybe even something dumber like allowing benches in maharaj hazoori. These are usually the causes that "monay apne" (I refuse to call them Sikhs) take up arms over in the west.

VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

More "liberalness" so anything goes vs. Sikhi.

More details here from Sukhdeep Singh, who is a local:

http://gurmatbibek.com/forum/read.php?3,34257

Things would be so much more simple if the following rules were established in all western gurdwaras:

If you aren't an Amritdhari:

-You cannot join any committee.

-You cannot speak on stage or preach to the sangat.

Nothing irritates me more than monay who get on stage and start preaching to sangat. If you don't follow guru sahibs rehat, who you should not be allowed to address the holy sangat.
