These Christian missionaries were indirectly welcomed to Punjab because our fo.ols wanted to show how great we are by helping Christians against the Hindutvis. When that missionary gora Staines was murdered by the Hindutvis, the first thing our people did was stick their noses into the issue. We needed to keep out and defend our own people in Punjab but our lot were so stup.id that they tried to insinuate that the Hindutvis were trying to defame Sikhs because the murderer had the surname SINGH!  The missionaries even went to Akal Takht to seek 'protection' This is the level of stupidity that our lot displayed which allowed the Christian missionaries to understand just how gullible our leadership is and they shifted their focus to target our people. It is a self inflicted wound and you cannot blame the Hindtuvis when our own people were the ones that allowed them to target Punjab. When the issue was still minor and manageable in 2009 we had people like Ravi Singh asking for daswand to save poor Sikhs from the crutches of these missionaries and what did he do with the money he got? He spent on 'humanitarian' aid!

We need to look at our own shortcomings rather than just push all the blame to the Hindutvis. What power do the Hindutvis have to create a anti-conversion act in Punjab? Do you think a Congress, Akali or even AAP govt will bring this law in? No because they have all sold out and they care more for the few lakh Christian votes than the danger that these missionaries pose to Punjab.

Because of the liberalism that we have allowed to infect our people, we have become so weak that any jannah khannah riots in Punjab and destroys public property. Look at the rapist sadh and his followers. Even the Christians rioted in Punjab when there was a rumour that someone had made a mocking poster of Jesus. They rioted in areas where they are only 5-10% Christians and they wanted to show their strength and that in a Sikh majority state they could riot with impunity. Who were the ones who confronted them and forced them to run for their lives, it was the Hindutvis.

The Christian protesters looted shops and destroyed some motorcycles. Police and local people beat up this group. Then, a Hindu mob attacked two churches and burned another, all belonging to Protestant Churches. The police arrested many Christian youths. Father Kavumpuram said as soon as the Hindu radicals retaliated, leaders of the Christians protesting fled the scene

We need to introspect on why it is that given that there is enough evidence in Punjab as there is the BJP ruled states of the inducement that missionaries are giving for converting the lower castes yet only in the BJP ruled states has an anti-conversion law been enacted. Why is it that we elect politicians that care more for 2 lakh Christian votes which cannot even tilt more than 1-2 seats in Punjab and yet they care less for the 10 million Sikh voters?

There is no doubt that Hindutvis have attempted to infiltrate our institutions. But we need to wise up because we have elected politicians like the Badals who have opened the door to their infiltration. Why have the Panthic Sikhs failed so miserably to take the SGPC or other Sikh insitutions like the Akali Dal away from the Badals. You might think this is because the BJP is in power at the centre, but over 17 years of the Badal's tie up with the BJP there was Congress govts at the centre. Let us own up to our own failings as well.

There is one more thing to note, hindutvis have the backing of the state. They can literally kill people from other religions and no one will put them in jail. They act like lions only because they have the backing of the state with no fear of repercussions. You think sikhs can easily do what these hindutvis do?

we also need to find out why our women are so gullible? Parents are weak and dont tell their daughters to set boundaries? i have been always close with my mom and always tell her about everything. Could it  be these kids are not close to their parents and cannot discuss things freely with them and are scared of repercussions.

I think some moms are conservative or prudish and don't discuss these things with their daughters when they are of a certain age and this contributes. Fathers might, but this'll probably be very uncomfortable for them.

Also 'girl code' where a broad has to be loyal to her girlfriend no matter how risky and retarded her actions might be.

Also, some people naturally seem to have risk taking characteristics.   With boys, it usually leads to them getting into 'legal matters' i.e. trouble with the police. With girls, it makes them take risks with boys.

Why are we not able to bring a government to power which will look after our interests just as the BJP govt looks after the interest of Hindus? Up until the 1990s, every Akali Govt apart from Badall's  rule was from  1970-71 and 1977-80 were pro-Sikh governments. Barnala's rule in 1985-87 was seen as Sikh rule by the Punjabi Hindus because he released so many Sikh prisoners. Punjabi Hindus distributed sweets when he was bought down by Rajeev Gandhi in 1987. It is because we have no unity, we now expect every Punjab govt to be anti-Sikh whether it is Akali or Congress. Again the lack of strategy by Panthic Sikhs who allowed Badal to take control. Badal had to have a manifesto that promised that police would be punished for the fake encounters, Dharmi fauji would be rehabilitated in order to get power in 1997 but he reneged on it straight away. Why did the Panthic Sikhs trust him first of all and then why did they not bring him down and allow him to rule again from 2007-2017?

Why have we allowed the Punjabi Hindu to dream of ruling Punjab when they are only 38% and yet we never think of power even though we are 58%?

Because of liberalism we have gone for a small minority punching above it's weight like we did in pre-1947 Punjab to a majority lacking confidence to even aspire to have a pro-Sikh govt in Punjab. This is something we need to think about.

True that. i also dont trust these punjabi hindus at all no matter what. They act like punjab is their theka but we know who fought the most against muslims in 1947. Honestly we are short sighted and put others on pedestal which is why are in this state. Instead of only caring about sikhs they want to take the theka of the entire world. Doesnt matter if sikhs are dying. We did all the work during 1947 and died for india's independence and look all these people after using us they backstabbed us.

facts i dont understand why sikhs think love jihad is only with muslims? Ive seen sikh females married to these hindu men since im from the city area and none of the kids ended up as sikhs. But its funny how they cry about love jihad while doing the same with sikh women. I mean there are 500 million hindu females why not just marry them? Even in punjab you will see them going after sikh females instead of their own.

because it is their new version of shudi karan , breed out sikhi by taking all educated, careerminded sikh women to become mothers of basically nastik hindu descendents whilst surpressing them under BS anti-women traditions like Sutak, treating husband like God and giving up on own spiritual life

you could have entered any of the other faiths names in there in place of Xians basically all the big faiths have too much ahankar that they can run roughshod over our people because they know the leadership is just a puppet one. Why did they ish themselves when nihangs chop hand of policia or killed the beadbhi doer in Singhu border because there is still a tiny corner where sikhi aankh will come into play to defend ourselves we need to trash neoliberalism in the panth because it is murdering the jameer of the youth , they know little and what they do know has been recouched in BS liberalism of the west. I even have to show my kids infected by that dridripdrip thought control that sikhi has no lnadna with other pople's sexuality and they will not see a same sex anand karaj sanctioned by any tru sikh as it goes outside of the Guru's rehit.

The problem is there’s a ton of Sikhs who think that the person who got punished was treated too harshly, saying backwas like “it was murder”, online and lots of people eat up that propaganda.

    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
    • Good way of putting it, bro. One of the ongoing themes of Gurbani is the fake saint. Whether it's fake babas in Punjab or English-speaking personalities in the West, it's an continuing problem of religion through the centuries (and it's not exclusive to us by any means, this applies to all human societies).
    • First of all, while it's true that Gurbani says slandering a Saint has such-and-such effects, you can't do the reverse: You can't look and your situation and know for certain what caused it. We're not encouraged to mope over our situations but rather to accept the hukam (will). The last line of the very first pauri of Japji Sahib says to live in hukam: ਹੁਕਮਿ ਰਜਾਈ ਚਲਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੧॥ hukam rajāī chalanā nānak likhiā nāl .1. O Nanak! By obeying, the pre-ordained order of the Lord's will. Secondly, the astpadhi from which you quoted the Sant ka dokhi verses has this verse at the end: ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਪਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਇ ॥ jis nō kripā karai tis āpan nām dēi . God gives His Name to those unto whom He shows His mercy. So ask for his mercy. Also check out the 7th Astpadi, which talks about the good effects of the sangat of a Sadhu: https://khojgurbani.com/shabad/271/709?highlighted_scripture_id=12007&highlighted_scripture_lang=gurmukhi&selected_content=gurbani I'm not getting into who is a "true" Sadhu in this post.
    • In langar it should be common sense for peopel to find a suitable space to sit. Normally in my local Singh Sabha gurdwara, there is enough space to sit, so I am able to find a space with enough space away from other people. There have been a few times, where there has been a lot of sangat and I have been forced onto a table.  In Slough and Southall Singh Sabha, Park Avenue, I will just sit near another group of men unless I am with family, but again there shouldn't be strict gender separation and instead common sense logic.
    • Yeh I could do to be honest. It's not really chardikala to be coming from the diwan hall and then sangat putting on shoes to go langar. I like sitting in the gurdwara with family, and there are spaces for this in bigger gurdwaras such as Slough, Southall, Coventry. In my current local area gurdwaras this is not really possible for weekly sangat, and also not for sangrand and gurpurb. Need to complain about these tendikalaUK practices  to be UK chardikala Singhs!
