I think it was you who posted that Salman Khurshid article where he was stating that many muslims were also attacking and killing sikhs in 1984 as they wanted revenge for the past and for 1947? Even after reading these things apne will keep being door mats for others.

Could be but I don't recall posting anything like that. That article you mention is true, though.

now we are losing Chandigarh too. I'm surprised by how dead the people back home are. No care in the world that their waters are being stolen and now even our capital.

I have warned about this since atleast a decade - the above thread by me is 7 years old. Way before any direct Sikh-Muslim clash happened. Just imagine what will happen in another 7 years if nothing is done.

- Make laws which prohibits outsiders from buying land in Punjab.

- Socially and economically boycot Gujjars, because they are very well off. (contrary to what one would believe)

also people saying their number is only 27000? I refuse to believe these demography stats seeing how confident they seem in attacking us in our own land. In Doaba alone in the jalandhar-Phagwara area you will be shocked to see what is happening.

- The 16 million Sikh population you refer to is an ageing population with few children. The Muslims outrank Sikhs and others in the number of children they have with an overall younger population. The same is the case in this incident where the Sikh villagers are mostly elderly while the Muslim Gujjars were young men.

Veerji, I understand your point above Gujjars being more, but they are definitely not more than 16 million

Even if the Gujjars are united, so what? The Mughals were united too. They even had the support of Hindu Pahari rajas. Where are they now? They lost and our Singhs had Fateh.

If this happens, what do you (and other forum members) think the govt reaction will be? Do you think the Hindus (BJP and the soft Hindutva AAP) will be OK with it because they hate the Muslims?

Absolutely right, wherever anyone reading this forum is, make sure the "Uncle Ji's" running your local gurdwara allocate funds for a weightlifting gym (not yoga). Even if you want to use a kirpan, you have to have the arm strength to do so.

Actually, I see the reverse. With the farmers' protest, even mona Sikhs (or actually, especially mona Sikhs) were taking interest in and participating in local protests. That's the reason people like Deep Sidhu were becoming attracted to something they hadn't considered before.

The key is to not push them away by telling them they aren't even Sikhs.

It's not just now. It was the "Akali" govt that decide to give half ownership in the "Chandigarh" Airport (built entirely on Punjab land) to the Haryana govt. Otherwise, given the infrastructure was within Punjab, it would have strengthened the case for Chandigarh being Punjab's.
