Are God and Guru Nanak Saheb jee separate or the same? My limited understanding thinks of Waheguru ji as a limitless ocean and Guru ji as a wave. They are one and the same yet they are different. It wrong to say the wave is the complete ocean. Guru Gobind Singh ji says that the person who calls him God will go to hell. Blessed Gursikhs speak of having Guru Nanak Dev ji's darshan. They talk about making one's body and mind pure so that Guru Nanak Dev ji will place his lotus feet in you. They meditate and see the light of Akal Purakh, inside which they are blessed with Guru ji's Darshan. The say Guru Nanak ji…

Source: http://www.tapoban.org It seems that the tradition of Nagar Kirtan was started by Baba Buddha jee, when Siri Guru Hargobind Sahib jee stayed imprisoned in the jail of Jahangir (Gawalior Jail) for a period of 40 days. Baba jee along with the sangat could not bear separation from Siri Guru jee. Baba jee led the sangat to Gawalior and they used to do Nagar Kirtan around the jail, out of love for Siri Guru jee. It is said that Siri Guru jee was extremely pleased with Baba jee for starting this tradition of doing kirtan of baani (jotiyaan waalay shabad) and expressing pyaar for Guru jee. From that day, Sikhs started celebrating the Gurpurabs of Guru Sahibaan doing na…

Every day we read adds/hear announcements that so & so SANT/108 BRAHAM GYANI BABA JI will attend DIWAN and will tell Gursangat about Sikhism/Sikh life /Gurbani. But do we know as to who is SANT/ BRAHAM GYANI in Sikhism. For this we have to take guidance from pious GURBANI because whatever Gurbani tells us ,the same has to be obeyed by a SIKH (but a number of so called Sikhs have been doing misinterpretation of the quotes from GURBANI so as to suit their status & satisfy their false ego) GURBANI in Sri Guru Granth Sahib tells us :- - "HAMRO BHARTA BADO BIBEKI , AAPE …

http://education.vsnl.com/sikhism/Bani2522Eng.htm Why we say, “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh” The message “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh” is to be conveyed whenever two Sikhs meet each other. Guru Gobind Singh Ji has said, “My face will be towards that person who says it first. My back will be towards that person who says it afterwards. I will be in between both of them, if both of them says it together.” Hence, in order to spread the message of brotherhood, we should say Fateh together. The traditions set by Guru Sahibs, whether they are documented or not can be derived from Gurbani, provided we try to go in the depth of Gurbani. However, we …

Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fateh A bibi told me that she can't do paath seva because she was having periods. I thought that it's something cultural, because of the "filthiness" related to it. But i later came across this in the booklet "Gurbani da adab": "Those women who are menstruating should not sit in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji's tabiya nor should they do Chaur Sahib seva." What's the explanation for this? Is it really something that is commonly observed? And is it mentioned in some rehat? Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fateh!

http://www.<banned>.com/?p=3818 These Missionary/Kala Afghana/Guru Granth Da Khalsa Panth people need to stop being so anti Hindu. They are so anti-hindu that they stretch things so far and bend over backwards so much that it's like a comedy show going on. They need to get a checkup on their mental health. Don't they know that milk represents many different things? Milk represents purity and cleanliness. Milk comes from cows, which are peaceful animals for the most part. Milk is viewed as a valuable product, especially in India where poverty is almost everywhere. Especially in the olden days, I'm pretty sure it wasn't available to everyone. Milk is a sig…

I read in Gurmat Rehat Maryada that " If a married person takes Amrit by themselves and their spouse is not Amritdharee, then he/she can not have a physical relationship with them unless they too become Amritdharee" I thought this made sense so when i told someone whos going to take amrit soon there like thats right but what about so and so they just got married and hes amritdharee and shes not. The only answer i have is it's Kaljug. Sangat ji what are your views on this.

I usually see some people quote this from Gurbani when they say that Guru Nanak Dev ji is God in human form : ਆਪਿ ਨਰਾਇਣੁ ਕਲਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਪਰਵਰਿਯਉ ॥ आपि नराइणु कला धारि जग महि परवरियउ ॥ Āp narā▫iṇ kalā ḏẖār jag mėh parvari▫ya▫o.
