  1. Guru sahib did do that seva, your right. He sat in the sangats shoes and did their seva. However, that was guru sahibs choice. They made it. Not us. It is not for us to try and do the same. Would we place guru Granth sahib Ji in the middle of sangats shoes? Or use the ramaleh to wipe sangats feet? No? Again I repeat the point I made earlier regarding benches which I believe to be the worst idea Iv heard. Here is what I think will happen. People who don't need them will use them, nobody will say get off because nobody can be bothered for an argument. (if you think you would, ask yourself when was the last time you made the sangat be quite during divan when everyone talks - very few people have the audacity to actually do these things). As more and more people use them, they will need to install more benches. Current and future generations will be even less willing to tolerate back pain and will insist on using them at an even early stage, so even more will be needed. Once this bench thing starts it won't be stopped. Eventually we'll see halls like churches full of benches. Please let me know if you think this forecast is incorrect. Just to repeat again this isn't the compassionate vs the non compassionate, let's not get into that ridiculous state. We all have elderly parents or disabled relatives and this issue affects us all. I have two in my house who have been going Gurdwara at 3 every morning to do their seva for the last 15 years. They struggle as best they can and they'd also like facilities but not where they sit above the rest of the sangat, and this is their thoughts. So it's not as easy as people make this issue out to be.

  2. I don't see the point miss _singhni_ of approaching them face to face as you have repeated in previous threads, when I have been told on the telephone if you don't like it don't watch it, it clearly becoming the case that sangat tv are being influenced by outside pressure from jathe or even government agencies to bring us thier own twisted version of politics, thank Guru Arjun Dev Ji Mahraaj that these kind of people can't twist bani. I'd think it would be wise if you went to sangat tv for us and expressed our views and that what people are really saying about them. I don't want this to turn into a sangat tv bashing thread as I was won over thus week after thier antics at the riots when they broadcasted Sant Lullonwale, but it seems that they have a trend of doing something good then to go ten steps back.

  3. Inqlabi bro, congress is obviously more corrupt. We have a propaganda video made by Hazare's opponents (most probably congress), on one hand we have a man who is fighting against corruption which is a common threat to all the people of India. Forget that he is a Hindu for second and and pretend he is a Sikh/Buddhist/Christian/Muslim would you still be against him? just because the man happens to be a Hindu does not automatically make him a bad person. People in India regardless of religion are supporting his fight against corruption because it has absolutely NOTHING to do with Hinduism. If you lived in India you would probably know what a HUGE problem corruption is. Corruption affects everyone and everything in India. You cannot do anything in India without indulging in some form of corruption.

They saying that we have dastaar day on April 13 and we dont need to to create awareness on 25 September at downing st, what are they asking us to do wait for a whole year accept disrespect for a whole year ? They are embarrassing themselves live on air whilst sikh channel are trying to get sangat together for this sangat are trying to break it up by scaremongering saying that supporting sikh Channel will create bigger problems for Sikhs in Italy and France HOW ?. It's pathetic how politics takes over every thing

  5. WJKK WJKF Is there any books for children which contains Sikh Sakhia? I mention this as my little has been brought a disney night time book which has 365 stories, one per day, and it got me thinking, that the Sakhia that Sikhi has, could generate much more than a years worth. What would the Sangat think of this idea? To have a childrens book filled with Sakhia and pictures, that the kids can look upto. I remember my mum telling me stories when i was a kid, and this would be ideal for this generation. Any ideas of how to get this started. If there is a book aldready and I have wasted your tie, then im sorry.

  7. so sad it's come to this - sikh channels fighting/arguing one another. it wasn't so long ago that ranjit singh rana was himself a presenter at sikh ch?! initiatives like D-DAY, TURBANOLOGY, TURBAN CAMPAIGN etc should all be supported by sikhs without any politics. it's only by talking about these issues that they will come to light and a difference made - do the jews argue with one another about how the holocaust should be commemorated?!

  8. I have said this before and I repeat, Rana has always proved himself to be pro badal. I remember when he used to come on sikh channel he always used to interrupt people saying things against Badal. And it was him who hosted shows with Badal's UK party people like Sangha and Balihar Singh Ramewal. He always gave them free space to talk. He presents himself to be a great historian but what he is really doing is using his knowledge of sikhi and history to gain credibility and help his masters. Regarding the latest fiasco. I have very simple questions for Rana or Sangat TV: 1. Dastar issue has been advertised on sikh channel for months now. Where were they earlier? 2. Rana says calling dastaar day D day is dis respectfull to Dastar as the name is cut short. Its such a lame excuse. Why is Damdami Talksal called DDT, why is akhand kirtani jatha called akj. Its just a name and since D day is a popular name using it for a different cause might get media attention. With that logic sangat TV is using "Ik" from "Ik Onkaar" is that not splitting the very first thing in gurbani? 3. Sangat TV says Sikh channel should have involved the organisations. Well again the ads have been going on for months. Why nobody took notice earlier? Yesterday leader of sikh council UK called and said that they have been asked to lead the demonstration, but the presenter was making every effor to put his wordsin his mouth to the effect that Sikh channel has not asked anybody about it. Again why this at last minute. 4. Rana and Sangat TV says that since there is no problem in UK there is no need to demonstrate. Well 1984 happened in India not in UK then why do we demonstrate here every year? Lot of people have to travel to UK for various reasons, is it not an issue for them and can they guarantee that other governments including UK's will not follow italy. 5. They said media shouldn't get involved in things all by themselves. Well who had Sangat TV asked when covering UK riots? and who had they asked before bringing people like Sonia Deol on their channel? Regarding sangat TV. I saw some very good discussions here and there on Sangat TV but their continuous efforts to spoil sikh unity leads me to beleive that It is India's/ Badal's funded channel, probably thats why they never need any donations. They show some panthic discussions just to gain some credibility. I think its best for sikh channel that people like Rana left them . People like him are a shame to the panth and infiltrators who are hard to recognise. It is these kind of people that sikhs should be most aware of.

  10. Well said Angrez! I have been a member of this forum for a numnber of years. I have hardly posted my views over this time, but what has happened over the last few days has really made my blood boil! That waste of space Rana needs to be bought in front of the Sadh Sangat and questioned with regards to his motives. All he kept on saying yesterday was that Sikh media channels should present news and news only. What the hell have they been doing for the last 2 days?? Slandering others is not presenting news!! I am sure that Rana is an Indian Government employee. I have heard that there is proof out there that he has been paid by the Government of India in the past?? I myself like to travel the world, whether it is for business or for pleasure, and up until the last 2 years I had never thought that me wearing a dastaar would be an issue. I have to think twice before booking any trips as I do not want to go to countries where my Dastaar will be abused! Sangat TV have got it in their heads that it is not an issue for Sikhs in the UK and if we stand up for our brothers and sisters who live in Europe we might be causing problems for ourselves - Does Sangat TV think that by showing a UK passport we will be let through the security checks?? SANGAT TV PLEASE WAKE UP. DO NOT MAKE THIS AN US Vs THEM ISSUE. PLEASE REALISE WHAT YOUR PRESENTER RANA IS DOING TO THE PANTH!!

  12. Hey bhenji, The change is a lot. One thing that helps me is to focus on one small thing at a time. We're like fighters, wrestlers against our desires. In a fight, if 5 people come at me at once, by fighting all at once I'm bound to fail. Instead, I must first back off and turn a little bit, so that they're not all around me at once. Make sure that one is between you and the others. Then attack with everything you have on that one until the person is finished. Now you only have 4 to deal with. Then 3, then 2, then 1. One thing that helped was to focus on one thing I want to do or stop doing, and try it for 30 days. Then it becomes habit. In 1 year that's 12 things. This video might help: http://tiny.cc/ax6g3

  15. Sikh Channel never slandered Sangat Tv when they filmed 25,000 muslims praying in the park, which gave a very dangerous message to our youth. Also, Ranjit Rana studied at khalsa college and has a lot of knowledge and speaks well but everyone knows he has very good links with indian gov.

  17. Sant Gurbachan Singh ji's visit to Shaheed Sarovar This Sakhi is taken from the life of Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale who were the 12th Jathedar of Damdami Taksal in an unbroken linage of Brahmgiani Jathedars of Taksal starting from a joint leadership of Bhai Mani Singh Shaheed and Baba Deep Singh Ji Shaheed. Interestingly, both of the latter mentioned shaheed mahapurkhs gave darshan to Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh ji at Shaheed Sarovar. Mahapurkh Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji had a life of intense simran and seva. This was accompanied by their bhagti accumulated in a past life in which they had been close to Guru Sahib themselves and also the blessing and guidance of their spiritual mentor, himself a complete saint and leader of taksal: Sant Giani Sundar Singh Ji. This katha begins at Chamkaur Sahib where mahapurkh had come in a state of spiritual bairag (longing). This is the same land where two of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj’s own Sahibzaade Baba Ajit Singh Ji and Baba Jujhar Singh became shaheed (martyred), where three of the 5 beloved Panj Pyare: Bhai Sahib Singh Ji, Bhai Himmat Singh Ji and Bhai Mokham Singh Ji became shaheed along with 40 other Singhs. At this historical site there is an old Baoli Sahib or an open well west of the Akali Bunga. Mahapurkh chose this place for their meditation, seeing it as a very quiet tranquil place with little disturbance from people. It was perfect for them, as they had no intention of openly showing their meditation to the world, for them it was important that they kept their spiritual status hidden from the world as Gurbani informs: “hon najeek khudhaae dhai bhaeth n kisai dhaen ||116||” They are close to the Lord, but they do not reveal their secret to anyone. ||116||. This is quiet contrary to the elaborate asthans built nowadays. Mahapurkh on the contrary had no intention of drawing any attention to themselves but instead went to the extent of doing their abhias (meditative practise) at night between the hours of 8pm and 4am, continuously without interval. The interesting nature of this bhagati was that it was done inside the cold water for the whole eight hours. Their avastha became such they felt like leaving this filth-ridden kalyugi world. They set off nearly 50 km north on foot towards the mountainous region near Kiratpur Sahib. In their mind they became firm that they have no further desire to communicate with the world, they would just do their bhajan and bandagi until their final swaas (breath) and leave this temporary body in the serenity of the mountains. After setting off, doing jaap (meditation) with every step they arrived in the mountainous region. Upon some exploration Mahapurkh got lost and ended up climbing a mountain when finally they came to the opening of a cave. Mahapurkh had a natural intuitive feeling that it would lead to somewhere so they entered the cave. When they set their feet in the cave and walked forward they saw there was darkness surrounding them, both forwards and towards the enetrance they had come through. During the narration of this Sakhi Sant Gurbachan Singh ji told that at one point it became so endlessly dark that they considered going back but then thought again. They remembered Guru Granth Sahib Jis Bani: “aagaahaa koo thraagh pishhaa faer n muhaddarraa ||” (Look ahead; don't turn your face backwards.) and thought it their duty as a gursikh to continue. They continued, reading gurbani continuously when finally they saw some light that showed the end of the cave. When they reached the exit of the cave they looked and it was completely bright and infront of them was a very beautiful sarovar (pool). Its beauty was both unheard and unseen off anywhere in the world before. Mahapurkh were astounded and became increasingly intrigued about where they had arrived. Around the pool were magnificently tall trees and on closer inspection they saw Shastars hung on the trees. Then when they proceeded further they saw people, human beings. These humans were not normal though, in size they were like giants in tales and their bodies reflected light. Mahpurkh thought to themselves 'maybe the end of your life is such' looking at the size of these intimidating people. Mahapurkh thought they were remote tribal people residing here but there was something very different about them from normal human beings. Still, with the teachings of Gurbani enshrined in them Mahapurkh did not turn back but rather they proceeded forward reciting gurbani. One of these people walked past mahapurkh and they caught a glimpse of their attire. Mahapurkh were very surprised that these people were wearing a kashera and a dastar, things began to make sense: the shastars on the tree and now their attire. It was at this point that it hit Sant ji that these must be Singhs of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. But the question was, what exactly were they doing here? Suddenly one of them shouted “Gurbachan Singh Ji”. Mahapurkh were surprised that they knew their name but they didn’t even know what sort of people they were. Sant Jee were amazed that they knew his name, yet they had never met. Then suddenly the tallest one out of them, assumedly their Jathedar Sahib said to those giant people “we’ll converse with Giani Ji after get something to eat for them”. At which one of them took a long spear and threw it towards the pool, when he pulled it out their came 3 unknown vegetables which looked a bit like yam or jimikand. They cooked these on hot coal and whilst they were being cooked the Jathedar Sahib of these people asked mahapurkh “why are you amazed Giani ji, are you surprised we called you by your name”. The jathedar sahib ji continued “Giani ji, actually, we are surprised that you didn’t recognize your own people”. Mahapurkh said they didn’t recognize them. One of the giant people stood up and said “Giani ji first I will introduce myself, I am Banda Singh Bahadur.” Baba Banda Singh Bahadur then pointed at another person “This is the mukhi of your Taksal Baba Deep Singh Ji”. “Look there, that is Bhai Mani Singh ji and over there is Bhai Taru Singh Ji”. Mahapurkh began pinching themselves to check if they were having a dream listening to the names of these shaheed singhs. Mahapurkh joined their hands together and said “ Singho, Guru Pyareo Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh”. Your words are true but I’d like to ask that all that you named have become shaheed but here you are all talking to me? First please be kind enough to tell me what is going on with me am I asleep or awake am I conscious or unconscious am I in a deep meditative state. Where am I?” The Singhs spoke “ Mahpurkho you are awake, what you are seeing is true. It is no illusion”. By now the vegetable product was ready and they served mahapurkh and the other Singhs. Baba ji said that this was like nothing they had ever tasted, it had the smell like Karah Parshad and tasty as Amrit. After eating they requested the Singhs to clearly tell them what was going on. As Mahapurkh were narrating this Giani Mohan Singh ji was sitting on the side of their bed, away from the direct vision of mahapurkh quickly jotting down all the whole sakhi. Pandit Prem Singh was sat infront of them, he tells us the face of mahapurkh became reddened with bliss as they told the sakhi to them. Sant Gurbachan Singh ji inquired whether they were talking about Shaheed Singhs and that they should openly tell them what’s happening with them. The Singh spoke once again “Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji, you are such a high scholar you narrate katha to so many. Please could you recite katha for us too please.” Mahapurkh said “I don’t know about katha or anything at the moment please could you just explain what is happening with me, is this Sachkhand, the earth, where?.” The Singh Sahib ji said “ Very well, Giani JI when a Singh who has done kamai (practice) of Gurbani during their life or become Shaheed goes to Sachkhand they stop at the door where two Singhs ask them at the gate of Sachkand if they have any further desire to do Seva or they wish to go to Sachkhand. At this point if one says no, then they are escorted to Sachkhand but if they have a further desire then they come to us. This place is only second to Sachkhand.” Mahapurkh asked them: “Singho today you have given me darshan, will their come a time when you come to the earth and openly reveal yourself.” The Singhs said “Yes. Yes, we will. Look there are our Shastar and look there are our Nagarhe (Battle Drums). Mahpursho the dohra you recite, keep reciting it. “Raj Karega Khalsa” The Khalsa shall not rule through any other earthly way, it is us that will create the Khalsa Raj. We are preparing. You came through this cave Giani Ji, and we will come out this way. Akal Purkh has done boundless kirpa on you Giani ji, you have entered this cave once you never again in your life will get this opportunity. You can go back and find this cave but you will never be able too. Mahapursho we will beat the drums before we leave here, that time we will create the Khalsa Raj - The Halemi Raj where no one will suffer” Mahapurkh then said their Gurfateh to the Shaheed Singhs and left ‘Shaheed Sarovar’. When narrating this sakhi from their own life Mahapurkh, they became teary and said "I have wondered in the mountains many a time. I have never found that place again”. Mahapurkh looked around, they saw Giani Baba Mohan Singh ji writing. Mahapurkh asked them “Giani ji have you written everything? Pass me your notebook”. Mahapurkh took the notebook and ripped it and said “Singho I forgot the rule of Gurbani “hon najeek khudhaae dhai bhaeth n kisai dhaen ||116||” (They are close to the Lord, but they do not reveal their secret to anyone. ||116

  19. Sangat TV what is your problem. Before I start this post I just want to make it clear that I am not affiliated with any Sikh TV Channel. I am absolutley disgusted after listening to Sangat TV (yes a Sikh TV Channel) and specifically, Ranjit Singh (?) Rana over the last couple of days regarding their views on Dastar Awareness Day - the initiative by The Sikh Channel. 1. Rana and Co keep re-iterating that there is no issue and Sikh Channel are making a fuss over nothing. All dastar wearing Sikhs living in the UK and Europe know that raising awareness of our Dastar can only be good for all Sikhs. It has been proven that there is a an issue at many European Airports which is why Dastar Awareness Day (25th September) was originally planned. I do not know of such as issue in the UK, although do believe that it is only a matter of time until such an issue arises. On a personal level I have regularly travelled to Edinburgh on business and have had my dastar "patted down". From my experience it all depends on the security personnel on duty which is why not all people get this issue. It is only a matter of time until we in the UK will be asked to remove our dastar. How can raising awareness on Dastar Awareness Day be a bad thing? How may issues have we heard of in previous years in Schools, work places, airports etc." This is a good thing and the event needs to encouraged. 2. They also have an issue the Sikh Channel calling it "D-Day". This one's simple D is for Dastar and Day is for ... eh "day". What is wrong with calling it Dastar Day or D-Day? It's catchy and sticks in your mind. 3. Rana and Co believe that it is wrong to gather and peacefully protest on the 25th outside the Houses of Parliament. My personal view on this is that such a protest is long overdue. According to Rana there is no issue in the UK. A question to all Dastar wearing Sikh's out there. I am a professional and work with a lot people from around the UK. The first time colleagues (gore) see you question's such as "What's that on his head?", "Is he a terroist?" go through their minds. Raising awareness through events such as Dastar Awareness Day can only be a good thing. The reason for the protest outside the houses of parliment is simple. We are part of the European Union and in this country political leaders can influence leaders and decision makers in other countries. Simple. The peaceful protest will raise awareness and hopefully will lead to this becoming a regular event that will attract media attention. Let's face it, following 9/11 many view Sikhs and Muslims as one and the same. As Sikhs we live in a world where day on day our own brothers and sisters are going away from Sikhi and cutting their Kesh. Reasons for this include peer pressure from colleagues and friends. Raising awareness and educating people can only help in making others appreciate the significance of our dastar and religion to us. 4. They believe this is not the job for a TV Channel We are fortunate to be blessed with Sikh TV channels. Why can't they organise events to promote Sikhi? Let's face it, many organisations have failed in educating and raising awareness so why is this a bad thing? Only good can come of this. Many organisations have tried and failed to organise such events so let's give Sikh Channel a chance. Sikh Channel have managed to reach Sangat across the world and organise Dastar Awareness Day in many cities in Europe. No single organisation has the coverage or capability to do this. Again, nothing negative can come of this. My final question is to Sangat TV. Are the views of Rana consistent with your views? If not I think Rana should be removed from the Channel as at the moment he is a detriment to Sikh's across the world. If these views are coherent with your views then you seriously need to think about the message you are putting across. This is definately not "Sangat" TV. I do certainly hope that this is not a petty "Us Vs. Them" channel war because if it is, Sangat TV, you are pathetic.

  22. If you really want to send an effective message across ensure people who attend to stop it don't get boiled up. The second one loses their emotions, all is lost. Another thing, don't make it about race, simply say a non-Sikh getting married to a Sikh is pure ritualism and goes against the fundamental teachings of Sikhi. Tell them you make certain promises to live a life surrounding the teachings of Guru Sahib and doing this is doing beadbi of Guru Sahib. Send a group of three people who are cool minded and intelligent in discussion. Good luck.

  23. I think before saying anythign that could be hurtful we should try to make sure we know the person well enough (though we shouldn't be saying hurtful things in the first place). I think SimranKaur is new to sikhi and is of German decent. So While the question may seem humorous to us, It is not to her.

  24. 'The highest darshan is darshan of Shabad Guru. Let our eyes have darshan of Gurbani as much as possible'. Yes thats true. However, looking at photos of Saints and Gurmukhs is better than viewing other photos such as of worldy people, wouldn't you agree? After all, God also gave us this physical body too and these eyes must serve their highest purpose of doing Darshan of Gurmukhs. Just as viewing somebody like David Cameron or Tony Blaire, or Obama you get reminded of politics, by viewing photos of Gursikhs, one remembers the Lord.

  26. Fine. I wouldn't worry about it. We are all humans and bhulanhaar. We make mistakes. As long as you dont do it deliberately, the Guru forgives. We are the Gurus children. The Gurus love is like a mothers love. Some of the posts draw comments bordering on humour/negativity. I dont know you or how you live your life so I cant really comment saying anything humorous. If you are a devout Sikh, then dropping a Kara can be something that would throw one in some dismay. You say you was feeling mentally weak. Let me tell you sister, weakness of the mind gradually disappears when one recites Gurbani daily. A Sikh must try to recite 5 different Baani's daily. Gurbani is food for the soul. If you nourish your soul with naam, your soul becomes strong and healthy. Keep your mind attached to your soul all the time and your mental state becomes stronger. Wish you all the best.

  27. I don't think we truly realise how powerful our 3 Sikh TV Channels in the UK really are. The amount of non-Amritdhari people watching them is astounding. I know of 3 people, who never went to the Gurdwara and had no interest in Sikh whatsoever...have actually kept their kes just from watching the Sikh Channels, one of them is now Amritdhari!!! I know of soooo many people who were anti-Sant Jarnail Singh but now they're not - by just watching the Sikh Channels. But the most crazy thing of all is, we really don't realise how many people in India watch the Sikh Channels online...trust me! So the message is getting out there in India...what we need is more parchaar against our enemies that are trying to portray sikhs as Hindu's on the channels. The parchaar on the channels is listened by so many people that just don't go to the Gurdwara and it is having tremendous impact...but more different shows & topics are required to cater for all. So a message to the youth...we need more programs in English...so please step forward! We need to get involved more in these channels, we can't just leave it to the elders. We need more inspirational youngsters to come forward!

  28. British legal system did not go out and find this family. The family found the court and as such the court has to make a decision based on the law of the land. Personally, I think sons and daughters should be given equal part in the estate. It is not fair that women do not have equal rights to their brothers when it comes to parents estate especially it is the daughters who end up taking care of the parents most of the time.

  31. Why feel bad for events which are out of your control. A Kara is not something magical, it is an item which Guru Gobind Singh gave us to remind us about our commitment to Waheguru and it serves as a gauntlet against enemy strikes (well most people of day, there Kara would no way be able to defend a sword strike lol). So even if it did fall on the floor, attracted some dirt it has no affect on you apart from psychologically. People say to put Kara in dastaar, pocket or where ever, but the whole point of kara is to be on your wrist to protect you and remind your of your commitments, keeping it hidden goes against the points of having the kara in the first place. You really should contact your manager or where ever you work to allow you to wear your kara since it is part of your faith. And if all goes well, well it will never fall on the floor again! Apologies if it sounds like a negative post.

  35. Clean your kara if you've not already done it. IE, wash it with water and then make sure you dry it (with a cloth). Don't leave it wet (especially if it's iron ). Ask Waheguru to help you maintain your kakaars. If you didn't do it on purpose, no need to beat yourself up about it.

  36. He was a Brahmgyani and taught the world Fearless Love(Nirboah and Nirvair) through acceptance of matyrdom which is the gyan of god, accepting God's will(hukam) ('thy Will be done') no matter what(an Act of True unconditional love) ie. remaining psychologically at peace and in acceptance in any given situation, recognising god to be pervading everywhere in every action. He taught seva, taught us to love our neighbour(the whole world) regardless of their sins and to see the holy spirit (naam/truth) in all (nirvair)- he asked god to forgive the sinners(the fools) for they 'know not what they do'- for they haven't considered the consequences of their actions. He taught divine love and respect for the all pervading holy spirit (naam/Truth). He taught us to tell the truth, to love truth in action and to serve the truth. Yes even the white skinned folk have been taught puran sat.

  37. No not all. I just think sometimes young people get carried away with the bs that bollywood puts forward, especially the girls. Boy meets girl...they fall in love...they can't be together because of some drama....then, in the end, love conquers all. That kind of brainwashing makes girls run off with random guys, or guys mess up their lives for some silly girl. The saying ''love is blinding" holds truth. Love for waheguru is on a different level completely. God bless you.

  38. Don't watch too many bollywood movies. They aren't real life.

  39. It does not. Fantastical, fictional notions of love do not help in real-life situations. If anything, its a disconnect from reality and only prolongs the hurt until the "afflicted" come to realise that such notions need to be abandoned in order to move forward.

  40. I don't know, but i remember reading S1ngh's post and he mentioned trust and communication, which is essential to keeping a healthy relationship. Without this your relationship may be as good as gone. Try to talk to her and tell her what you are thinking in a very respectful manner and don't let her think you don't trust her. An idea: (sangat tell me if this is a bad idea, if so don't do it) Okay well the idea is to find stories of women who come abroad for visa and then leave the family and show how much despair not only the husband is, but also how much misery it ultimately brings to the women for doing such a thing. The key is how to approach with the subject, timing and situation is everything. I'm young though, so i may be giving inexperienced/incorrect advice. Try to talk with a good married friend who you are very close with and see if you can get a second opinion as well.
