  4. I hope you're not basing your opinion on much later artistic representations?? That would be insane. They are not photos....... But you do have a point about Guru Arjan Devi ji's shaheedi. Jahangir (in his memoirs) specifically mentions that he ordered Guru ji to be executed in line with some ancient (from Genghiz Khan's time) little known Mongol laws called 'yasha', and as far as I can tell, under these protocols nobles were to be executed without having their blood spill on the ground. I have read of Singhs being hanged from trees by their kesh in 18th century Persian accounts of conflicts with Singhs. If the whole aim is to terrify and destroy your captives, I doubt the persecutors would have cared too much about keeping their prisoners dastaars on - if anything I would imagine they would have gone out of their way to remove them, to try and degrade them further.

  6. Yeah pretty sure misldars were drinking alcohol by very end of 18th century

  7. Hence the reason why I believe our Raaj fell in the first place. We strayed away from Sikhi. Not all of the Sikhs during the Misl period were perfect saints. We had some, however, the trends we see today were present there as well. Also, I believe those granths were written during the Raj and towards the end (panth parkash I believe) and Singhs were definitely consuming alcohol at that time. These are some of the reasons why you had groups like the Sant Khalsa who are now the Namdharis.

  9. singhs used to drink alchohol in puratan times. Naveen panth prakash by gyani gian singh mentions it. Even sooraj prakash mentions it. theres nothing wrong in drinking alchohol if u believe in puratan granths.

  10. There is a blog post on Maharaja Ranjit Singh that attempts to explain some of the historical gaps. Though I'm not advocating for its veracity nevertheless it's worth reading as many of the facts have already been mentioned in this thread. Mod Note: Link Deleted. 11. When you think about it, english culture (despite trying to act otherwise) has a longstanding appalling attitude towards vulnerable women. Think about how many African girls they raped on ships coming to their plantations, and then groomed and raped them once they were there too. Then think about how they put that prima nochta law in with the Scottish where they would take someone's wife away on their wedding night. Then think about how they were ready to pull out machine guns for a peaceful protest in Jallianwala Bagh, but twiddled their thumbs when mass rape and murder was going on at partition. If you read about Victorian times, the poverty of the working class here (like in areas like East London) was horrific, and prostitution normalised. Think of how many hoes Jack the Ripper slaughtered, and what pushed so many women into that trade in so called enlightened england. Most of the 'childrens TV presenters' I grew up watching turned out to be pedos too...... Then think about just how much grooming has been going on here for decades, and just how vehemently they denied it and covered it up, and attacked Sikhs who've tried to highlight it. I've talked to clued up white boys on sites I've worked in, they think that their own elites are riddled with pedos, and that's why they allow it to happen. Strange people......... Given this, is it any surprise that they treated M. Jind Kaur so bad? It's just normal form for them. Cultural norm.

  16. I agree. Any communtiy needs a 2.1 TFR to increase their population, and a 2 TFR to have a stable population. Muslims dont have a 5.2 TFR. In the west they have a >2 TFR. Even in afghanistan their TFR is not close to 5.2. Its 4.6 there, and its common as many kids die due to lack of medical attention and war.

  21. Brother, if we went on a muslim forum, and started disrespecting muhammad, then im sure they would block us. Its confusing the new members about sikhi (who dont know much) and can make them question reality. Even tho brothers and sisters have answered him, young gen would be confused. I hope @ADMIN blocks him.

  22. Whilst I appreciate your sentiment, blocking this guy is actually a bad idea, for 2 very important reasons,. 1. It shows a level of intellectual weakness on our side, unable to take any form of criticism, and 2. It's absolutely hilarious watching this guy dodge direct questions and run away when challenged. This is precisely the thing people need to see. Do not be afraid of hard questions, but also keep an eye on who's asking them. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely welcome anyone on this forum to ask the most convoluted questions they choose, all good. But when they resort to personal attacks like this guy, he'll be intellectually dealt with again and again, just like he has. I've replied to this guy on many occasions, asked him straightforward questions and directly challenged him. But he keeps dodging and running away. No need to block him. He'll cower away soon...

  23. I agree themore he opens his mouth the more he confirms his motives and lack of introspection, It is frankly funny as all get out when he preens himself after not responding and diverting the questions asked - 'self-praise is no recommendation' ever hear that phrase . Probably gets off the net and boasts to his gullible friends much like hijab and dawah man did in their day .Jokers one and all ,

  24. I completely disagree. This person should not be blocked. Let him run free, because all he's doing is exposing himself and his true intentions, especially when he's challenged and runs away. And it is really important for the rest of the people to see that.

  25. How can one so called Muslim poster cause confusion amongst Sikhs here? I believe these Sikhs have to get more knowledgeable about their own religion rather than getting confused.

  26. Very true. The Muslims have been lying for decades that the Quran is preserved and that every word in every Quran in the world from the 7th century down to now are exactly the same. Now it looks like there are hundreds of Qurans which have both minor and major differences between them. The Quran which a majority of the Muslim world reads was only chosen in the 1920s in Egypt as the official Quran for Al Azhar university and the Saudis then chose that Quran when they wanted to start their <Edited> push into the rest of the world. Just this much is enough to destroy Islam in any rational Muslim.

  27. This Muslim Neighbour is most likely a British Pakistani. If you read his earliest posts he goes quite personal against our forum member JVK, and he makes repeated attacks on Mohan Singh (who I believe warns UK sikh girls about grooming dangers?). Muslim Neighbour even states that he has been stalking this forum for many years before launching into his thread disruption and deception attacks. He doesn't answer direct questions, nor is satisfied with answers forum members provide to his questions. Only plus point is this has propelled some of us to research more into glaring flaws being exposed on his faith by christians. Even I had a fairly neutral position on Muslims since this type of aggressive behaviour is not experienced here in canada. I used to take the advice of UK friends with a grain of salt until more recently. I found this channel amazing. Early Islam as muslims like to believe is getting demolished by the christians. I think there is going to be large scale upheaval in a few decades as more muslims realize the bitter truth of their faith's foundation. Muslim scholars are already having a hard time plugging the holes. Sooner or later this knowledge will spread to the common muslim.

  30. For average secular hindu, we are a part of sanatan dharam and a fake outshoot of Hinduism. They believe that sikh gurus worshipped Ram, Durga and other hindu deities and since countless hindus left Hinduism and became gursikhs by choice during sikh gurus timeline, they comsider us as "brothers". For average muslim, we are kaafir and we must be converted to islam otherwise Allah will kill all non muslims on the day of judgement. For average Christian, we are destined to go to hell as we are non Christians or don't consider Jesus as the only true messanger of god. Any sikh reading this, feel proud to be born in a sikh family and given the opportunity to learn sikhi. Non sikhs don't have this privilege and learn twisted extremist ideologies/religions as above. That's why every sikh must raise his son/daughter as gursikhs. Kindly don't fall for the media propaganda "its their choice". No your kids don't have a choice. They will learn only non sikh/anti gurmat values from school/college friends, media etc. You will be their only teachers in teaching sikh values especially in the initial years. Never deprive your kids from the gift of sikhi.

  31. Sirsa, Bagga are the most smart ones. Openly saying khalistan zindabaad wont give u anything. But being with the govt, and also putting forward sikh issues is the key now. We need more sikhs in the govt, police, ias, while also actively preaching, and educating our current generation. Khalistan right now is a lost cause. Sikhs now wont be able to achieve it. If we were living in 90s, and sikhs took certain correct steps, then it would have been possible. Follow @mssirsa on twitter. We need more sikhs like him.

  32. This would make sense if the Nihangs were not as corrupt and useless as the SGPC and Akalis have been. You are seeing today's Budha Dal as being the same as the Budha Dal of history which is clearly is not. In the 1980s it had a leader who was the chumcha of the Abdali of the 20th century. He allowed himself to be used to divide the Panth at the time when the Panth had just about acheived virtual unity. If you want some progress in the Panth, it will be have been Sikh youth who are passionate about Sikhi whether in India or the doaspora and not from corrupt organisations like SGPC and Budha Dal. If we only have say one Bhai Jagraj Singh in each village in Punjab, that would be enough to bring the Panth out of the black hole that the Akalis, SGPC and Budha Dal have put it in. Can I give you a contary opinion? Maybe if you have bothered to sit with him and explain what Simran is and how to do it, he would have had the tools to counter the bad influence that he got under in later years. So you watched quietly for 5 YEARS while he slid down the slipperly slope and now you use the example of this poor child who in essence you failed in order to prove a point. That's really sad. Apart from that poor kid I suppose.

  33. In a modern day Singh Sabha movement, would the Dal Khalsa retake Akal Takht after being removed by the previous Singh Sabha which is now represented by SGPC? Would Dal Khalsa (budha dal tarna dal) be given more control like they had pre-colonial times? Would we reintroduce more Dasam Granth readings which were stopped by previous Singh Sabha?

  35. The Karanveer fella is a typical American hustler. What I notice is about Americans of all persuasions is that they have that goofy look on their faces. Their bug eyes and those shiny straight horselike teeth. Even US Sikhs (born and raised) have that look. You can spot them a mile away. That Rubin Singh looks like that Manchester Singh conman Rueben Singh of Miss Attitude fame (wonder whatever happened to him). Yes he is a one-tenth consultant alright. He leaves you with one-tenth of your earnings.

There's been cases of grooming out there, and that video of the 98 baba being force to convert islam was from Toronto..Cousin Canada was saying back in 80's 90's there was rivalry between the Muslims and Sikhs beef, but they formed Sikh groups and took care of it. Surrey bc, increase of Somalian gangs now lol. Give it couple years then you'll understand what UK Sikhs been going thru lol

  44. I remember over 3 decades ago, as a teenager, my pak classmates talking about how they tried to burn down the mandir in our ends by setting the shoes outside on fire and scuttling off. Thankfully it didn't spread far, but the thinking at that early age is indicative. I think I was lucky (or maybe not??) to see them in their natural state before they learnt to fully conceal themselves and their habits. So everything you hear about them these days (raping, pedo, heroin, grooming, hatred of nonsullay, terrorism groups, fundamentalism etc. etc.) I got clued up about fairly young. I feel sorry for the closeted or uninformed type - or the fudhus that see others through rose tinted glasses. They are in danger of putting their families at risk. Tonday are trying to play a long game. Clued up brothers and sisters in our panth are like the strongest obstacle they have to their agenda. We'll have dharamyudh in future.
