I have a question. My friend Sonu, has been studying for 4 yrs in London. She, has been dating a guy who is a complete amritdhari sikh. Sonu began to spend more and more time with him. She became so interested in Sikhi, she took amrit herself last yr. Sooon afer both of them had finished their University, he went on to further more his studies but she went back home. They stayed in touch thru phone, E-mail/msn... etc. Sooon after they both told they're parents they had met someone... etc... and want to get married. Her parents agreed. But his said no, because her family wasnt amritdhari, and they cut their hair .. eat meat.. etc.. Whats ur opinion on this.. Wjkk wjkf

(please answer the question. im not looking for meat debate. if thread gets out of control admins can lock it) i had a question.. one of my friends friend was having a talk with myself about meat and he raised the question about eggs. And i told him that sikhs dont eat meat . and hes like eggs as well, and im like yes snice it has a life form that in the future will be taken. He answered that thats true but the eggs that are processed now in stores can never be in living form hence can never be hatched. is this true ?? So now if this is true, would eggs still be considered wrong to eat ??

I have a question for bibiya who wear dastaar. Some bibiya have really compact dastaar, like i mean super compact and flat at the top and I wonder how they do that? I mean is their hair short so they have a small joorra? I just can't do that with my joorra, and not that it matters but I just wondered how to get the joorra flatter so I dont' have a huge bulge at the top of my dastaar.

Sat Sri Akal Ji! I was searching on the above topic to prep for my case, to present to the Judge, how Sikhs look at adultery. As sikh we are thought to be faithful only, but what happen if one of the partner commit adultery? How is it should be handled in Sikh Maryada? My case, I went to India to get married as professional living in US, I was cornered in every direction and strangely with my own relative. (crazy). After getting married (Lava), the girl was acting strange, I'm not accustom to indian/punjabi culture and I thought its normal in arranged married. Fast forward she arrives in USA, pregnant, she told me it was my baby, she leaves me when the baby was 1 mo…

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh I will keep this brief because I am terrified someone will identify me... I am an amritdhari girl and married to an amritdhari man. I thought the match was good, based on what he made me believe, but it's terrible. He became abusive, controlling, dictating and worse than that he restricts me developing my Sikhi. I am not allowed to go anywhere, or do anything. If I am at home during the day, I have to recount everything that I have done and no matter what I cannot please him. He compares me to other mens wives and says everything against me. I dealt with this as being my karam, but it's getting worse. He now says if we have a c…
