right i had this conversation with somebody about amrit shaak, n like i go to this person i know for every sikh before death they wish to take amrit. this way people say they go to heaven and get connected to god etc u know wa i mean hunna? wel this mate of mine said he don't think he'l ever do amrit shaak right, but this what he beleives that if he can liv life without the 5 evil things that are mentioned in the ardas u knw like Kaam = lust, Karodh = anger, lobh = greed, Moh = attachment ro worldly things, Hankar = false pride then he beleives why shouldn't he be sent to heaven just like a amrit thaari's and be connected to god? so does that mean to be a sent to heaven…

I run a page on facebook and want to do an article on Ravidassias. Who they are etc. Can anyone please tell me about them and why they are copying Sikh traditions such as Jaikara and Nishaan Sahib and changing it to their own style? Why Sachkhand Ballan rejected Guru Granth Sahib Ji and only uses Bhagat Ravidassi's bani. Why they view him as Guru and no one else? The history of Bhagat Ravidass and Gurbani. And what our Gurus have said about him.

Today I wanna know more bout Sachkhand. I have attended Bhog of Akhandpaaths for many individuals who have died. Generally I have seen that regardless of whether the person was Amritdhari or not, the secretary says "Sachkhand nivasi...." Many of these people claimed to be of a caste like Jatt, they used some last name like Dhillon, they cut their hair, they didn't do paath as prescribed, basically they were the opposite of a Gursikh. So now I'm wondering...if these kinda ppl can make it to Sachkhand, then what's the point of being a Gursikh? :T: Secondly, how do we know if someone is in Sachkhand? Is it even necessary for someone like the secretary at the Bhog or at …

Part 1 I have started reading my english tika by Sant ji and it is very deep. I will quote some parts I really liked. The Importance of Japji Sahib Kavi Santhok Singh Ji says about Japji Sahib In the way a rice husk is useless without a grain of rice, a Sikh is useless without having memorized Japji Sahib. Guru Nanak Dev Ji says to Guru Angad Dev Ji those who recite Japji Sahib with their heart will gain a seat close to me. Guru Ji also says The individual who forgets Jap Ji knowing it divinity is commiting sucide by jumping into the lowest pits of hell When Guru Tegh Bhadur was going to acced to sachkhand he recited Japji Sahib and his head…

It's true. It has nothing to do with ritualism. Baba ji gave bachan on this, and bachan of a bhramgiani always comes true.

'Chaubis Avtar', and more specifically, the story of the 24th avtar is confusing me alot. The katha of the kalki avtar mentions things such as ' The Brahmin-women will live with Shudras; the Vaishya-women will reside in the homes of Kshatriyas and the Kshatriya-women in the homes of Vaishyas; the Shudra-women will be in the homes of Brahmins.16. This line would suggest that inter caste marriages are sinful, and their are many other lines such as this. It makes me wonder about the authenticity of Chaubis avtar. Now, im not a supporter of the people and Jeonwala and Darshan lal, and I am sure he nitnem banis and other banis in the Dasam Granth sahib are authentic, im …

First of all this meditation has nothing to do with religon, there are many Sikh vipassana teachers, many Christain vipassana teachers etc. I have a series of audio files so if anyone wants them pm me or post your email address (helps if you have gmail since its about 70MB). The Technique Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was rediscovered by Gotama Buddha more than 2500 years ago and was taught by him as a universal remedy for universal ills, i.e., an Art Of Living. This non-sectarian technique aims for the total eradication of mental impurities and the resultant highest happiness of f…
