Wow, yes the quote did change when I got to 400. so at the time I write this post I'm at 400 posts and my gurbani quote has changed to "Mere Mun Prem Lago Har Theer" This shabad puts me in a feeling of longing for guru jee. I had the honour of singing this shabad in keertan at saadh sangat. It was a wonderful experience. It was one of the first shabads I sang. It is a beautiful shabad. Recently there was a big discussion on Dasam Granth and its authority. Shortly after that I was sent this Sakhi by a veer; which I'm attaching. I knwop the brown rudrakasha mala is a no no for sikhs.. however i was told by a amritdhari kuri that i should not wear the larger mala like that.. and only used for naam jap.. any comments? I'm referring to the large sarbloh mala around my shoulder/chest. I'm just trying to be tyaar par tyaar,

I intend to start this thread where I shall be posting the doubts that I have regarding various tuks and lines of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. You may as well. But all of us are required to number the lines so that these can be properly referred to.There may not be any occassion when more than one doubt should be discussed. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh i know it is important to keep kesh for identity reasons. but i was wondering if any one can explain the reason for keeping all kesh as if u kept ur kesh on ur head only and wore ur keskhi this would still give u the identity so what is the significance of keeing all kesh ?

Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
