I recently saw a post on some fb Sikh group that was complaining about muslim guy signing up to Sikh society events after they learned he was a muslim through his name. That made me ponder what if the guy genuinely wanted to learn about Sikhi and become a Sikh? How should you deal with muslim guys who are interested? We know they are ideologically brainwashed from birth to hate non-muslims and their beliefs so should we scare of potential new Sikhs guys from Islam and barring them by background checks? Or should we welcome them into the fold but have extra vigilance placed on them so that we see their motives are genuinely spiritual and love for Sikhi not sinister or pr…

I have been reading more into Sikhi and have started wearing a pagh. I was previously a mona Sikh. I have some questions regarding Sikhi. I understand that our aim is to leave this cycle of constant life and death and to merge with God. I was wondering what is needed to achieve this? Does one have to take amrit to do this? Or can anyone who meditates on god's name and does good deeds achieve this?

Why is it that sikhs are so against rs? First of all i wonder if we asked the great Guru nanak dev ji if he had a problem with this rs path would He to be as selfish as his follower never he would welcome everyone with open arms as all the rs baba ji is doing is spreading the message, just like the 10 gurus did, and to be honest this is where sikhs have got it all wrong when they think the sikh bible is only for sikh it was meant For all mankind not only sikhs and if we look deeper into the sikh bible it is clearly writen that you have to search for a living spiritual teacher And one who can give you the five holy names, im not here to upset anybody simply wa…

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Lets suppose that I am a "transgender Sikh" who was originally biologically male but now identify as a female. Lets assume that I receive "Khand Di Phaul", which is the official initiation into the Khalsa Panth. Would I then call myself a Singh or a Kaur? What does Gurbani or Rehat have to say on this?

URGENT 2DAY @ COV UNI, THE ISLAMIC SOCIETY CAUSED RACIAL HATRED BY ORGANISING AN EVENT WHERE BY THE GUESTS DEGRADED SIKHI. Please complain to the student union for why they (an academic body) let an event which is in direct breach of UK Law by causing racial hatred. In the meeting, an "Aman Daliwal" the former Sikh, announced he was never a Sikh before he embraced islam. Leaflets were handed out to let people know. Coventry Singhs no longer attend the uni therefore we were unable to intervene before but it has not come to attention. Please lobby and complain to the student union and pass the message on for others to do the same so the uni can now pay for their incomp…

Hi, Let me start with some background about myself. I was born and raised in America. My hair has been uncut my entire life. I don't drink. When I was young, my parents taught me about the Sikh religion and I was always very proud of it. I don't think any other religion is as progressive or sensible. While I have always been proud to be Sikh, I can't say the same about being Punjabi. Why? I had some very bad experiences with Punjabi people in my youth. The children at the local gurdwara (where most kids had cut hair) would often tease me for keeping my kesh. As we got older, the teasing became less frequent, but I still felt like I was always shunned or exclu…

Please, please, please watch this entire video. Not because you don't know the who, what and why of the Anand Karaj, but because of the way Bhai Jagraj Singh addresses the issue in a very diplomatic and eloquent manner. Take note because chances are the punjabis who are spewing hatred on the internet won't watch this, but you can watch it and become a beacon of information instead which can be much more effective. I feel like this video in its entirety should be the standard for how to address this issue. If I'm not mistaken, not a single point was left out in this educational video. If Sikh community in UK can get on the same page, then the hippy fake liberals who will…

Just heard the new album by Babbu Mann - Singh Better Than King - all I can say it is the most revolutionary album I have ever heard from a singer like Babbu Mann - the issues mentioned - the Panthic Dardh in the songs paints a picture of what state the Sikh Nation is in and what state our homeland Panjab is in ,from corruption, fake gurus, destruction of the Panjabi language, useless leaders and so on.Along side that references are made to the modern day Sikh Heros such as Babbar Jagtar Singh Hawara - and our histroical Leaders/Heros - A must have album for all
